“Equipping the saints for the work of ministry….” Eph. 4:12

Gade has been involved with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) since 1999. Her journey has taken her to 25 countries bringing hope and healing in a variety of ways. During this time Gade joined YWAM Mercy Ships, who provide medical services to the underprivileged while sharing the gospel. Later, Gade returned to Bangkok, Thailand and worked in the slums providing mothers opportunities through business education with YWAM Step Ahead. Currently Gade is equipping lay leaders in counseling skills and providing counseling in Thailand.

Gade started her career in Economic Development with the United Nations. Then she continued her career in accounting with the United Nations, Nissan Thailand, General Appliances, and BMW Company and then pursued a master degree in the United Kingdom in Management Development. During that time God called Gade to join YWAM and she concluded her YWAM Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Anastasis, YWAM Mercy Ships, Gambia, West Africa. Through this experience Gade’s world grew bigger. She fell in love with Africa and knew that God was calling her to make a difference to the poor and needy throughout the nations.

Gade loves teaching and evangelizing and in 2001 she used those skills as a puppet leader on board Anastasis, YWAM Mercy Ships, Benin. Gade found this to a great tool to reach out to children and adults in the markets, streets, villages, and prisons.

Gade has a bachelor's degree in Economic International Trade from the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and in the fall of 2003, Gade continued her studies in Montana at the School of Biblical Studies (SBS). During this time God gave her a vision for counseling. Gade completed her studies and then moved to Kona, Hawaii to study counseling and addictions at the University of the Nations. During her studies God provided a more clear vision for a counseling training center in Asia. So in 2005, Gade pursued a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) where she received practical counseling experiences through her internships at the campus of Northwestern University and with addictions at the Lake County Health Department. After graduation Gade continued serving the community at the Lake County Health Department in their Crisis Counseling program and Addiction Treatment program. During her time in the USA from 2005-2008, Gade was remained an active member her church, Thai Community Church of Chicago, as the Children’s Pastor.

In 2008, Gade was invited to join the staff team of Foundations for Counseling Ministry School (FCM) by leading a bilingual Korean-English team from the University of the Nations to Thailand. Afterwards Gade helped pioneer a North Indian FCM bilingual Hindi-English School and co-lead a team throughout southern India where she also continued to teach in the areas of counseling and missions.

In 2009, Gade returned to Thailand and started Counseling Ministry Thailand (CMT). The vision is to equip ministries to take God's healing to all communities. There are ways to provide training to people in Thailand through education, personal development and emotional growth. Training can also be provided through counseling seminars with churches, schools, non-government organizations (NGOs), business, ministries and communities. Gade would like to use the education she has received to help people as the Lord leads her. Presently, Gade is the Director of Counseling Ministry Thailand.
