Living The Kingdom. Transforming Lives. Impacting The Nations.

Lao Focus Discipleship Training School

YWAM DTS – Ubon Ratchathani

Lecture Phase: TBA
Field Assignment: TBA

We believe God has impressed on my heart, as the leader of the base, the need for a Lao Focus International DTS to equip the students, both Thai and international, who have a heart and calling for the country of Laos and/or for the Lao people who number around 6.5 million in Laos and 22 million in the North East of Thailand. Conducting this DTS course in its context will contribute to the overall goals and objectives of evangelizing and discipling the nations.

Context of Course

This is a Lao people group specific DTS set right in the midst of both Laos and Thailand for both the Thai/Lao and internationals students. It will definitely give the students a close-up view of the people they are called to reach in their context, e.g. social, culture, language, food, environment, geographic, political and more. It will help the students to have a better appreciation and understanding, and enable them to pray, connect and envision ministry potentials that God may have called them to.

Over the 12 weeks, we will cover various subjects to help the student encounter God and align their lives with a Biblical perspective to develop a lasting relationship with Jesus and to make Him known.

  1. Nature and Character of God
  2. Intimacy with God and Hearing the Voice of God
  3. Father Heart of God
  4. Fear of God and Repentance
  5. Biblical Worldview
  6. Cost of Discipleship
  7. Authority and Submission and Servant Leadership
  8. Worship and Intercession
  9. Holy Spirit
  10. Spiritual Warfare
  11. Inner Healing
  12. Evangelism and Mission

Optional for International Students is a one year internship with YWAM Ubon after DTS to develop your calling for the nations.
