I have been a Christian for 16 years, and I started to feel that I would like to become more involved with serving the Lord around five years ago. At that time however, it seemed like there weren’t many opportunities or that I didn’t have enough time. Perhaps God had been calling me many times, but I wasn’t ready yet.
One day, a team of students from a YWAM Discipleship Training School (DTS) came to my church. God began to do something in my heart and I decided that I would serve the Lord, starting with doing my own DTS. At the beginning of the course I felt like I learned so much about how to have better relationships with others and also learned how to know God more. This began to change my thinking as in the past I had thought that I already knew enough about God, but God began to show me that I still had a lot that I needed to learn.
I began to see what God’s character is really like and started to understand His heart more. This made me really want to spend more time with Him in prayer and intercession– which was something that I had done little of before. My way of thinking and my heart changed as I got closer to God.
I graduated from my DTS in January 2012 and I have to say that it was a wonderful experience. I know now that in my heart I want to serve God more and it is becoming clearer to me how I should do that. Right now I am serving with YWAM Ratchaburi and also with my church. I have a heart to see people growing in their spiritual life and to help under-privieged children to be able to stay in school. I also have a desire to help people who are struggling with different life problems to find a solution. One more thing that I desire is that I would like to continue learning more in my journey with God and walk in His ways, bringing His Good News to the people in this generation, that they may know His love.
