Outreach Teams Department

Mawn

My name is Mawn but my friends also call me “pillow” because Mawn means pillow in English, so you can me “Mawn or Pillow” either way. I have two sisters and 2 brothers and I am the fourth child. All my family are new Christians and almost all of them just turned to Jesus about 2 years ago. Since then we have learned a lot more about Jesus and how how our life should be in God.

I was born January 1, 1977 and I heard about Jesus for the first when I was 9 years old. I learned more and more about Jesus through the Christian student house and also through the Christian school that I was studying at. I accepted Jesus when I was 25 years old and I believe that God is the one who gives me hope and strength for my life to make me more confident to face whatever comes, even if I think that it is not possible. I have learned and experienced to trust in Him because I know He loves me and He will guide me, protect me and I am part of His family. By the way, I still believe that I have to do my part, to the best I can, as I serve Him. I can stand firmly now because He continues to give me hope and strength. Finally, I know what the best is for my life and it is “I knew God and I would love to make him known”.

I’m now working with YWAM Thailand in the Outreach Teams Department. My responsibilities are translating and helping outreach teams from different countries around the world in whatever way they need help from us. We see 120+ outreach teams come to Thailand every year!

I started to working with YWAM Thailand since 2002 as an accountant for two years and then moved to working in the Outreach Team Department. I love traveling, meeting the new people, evangelism, translating and I especially love to do open air activities the most. I’m seeking God about what His will for my life is for the next 2 years (a new season). I love what I’m doing these days and I pour all of my heart into it yet I also feel like God may be calling me to do something else and I am spending time asking Him what that is specifically. I do feel led to study the Bible (specifically the New Testament) for 3-4 months in Chiang Mai. I just got an accepted to the school and I am very excited for this nee step into this next season of my service to Him. The school will start in March 2012!

With Love in Christ,

Mawn
