StudentsRatchaburi is a province situated on the border of Burma, 2 hours drive from Bangkok. It has a total population of 830 000, with only 1% of the population proclaiming to be Christian. Most of the population claim to be Buddhist although the number of genuine, practicing Buddhists is getting less and less, and many of the younger generation almost never set foot in a temple.

Ratchaburi is considered a centre of education, with students from all over Thailand being sent to study in the many schools here.

Playing Guitar with studentsThe majority of the people in Ratchaburi used to earn a living by farming, but most have begun to sell their land and either look for work in Bangkok or work in the factories here.

Most of the population is very poor, surviving as best they can with many of the strong and able young people having moved to Bangkok to look for a better life, leaving their families behind.

Ratchaburi is famous for the floating market- where the people live and sell their produce along the river every day.

Our Vision

To see every generation in Ratchaburi touched by the love of Jesus. We want to see:

  • The children receiving quality foundational education
  • The youth seeking to know Jesus and follow Him
  • The poor being equipped to support their families with dignity
  • The elderly being cared for and having a place where they can receive love and care

We plan to start by focusing on the youth through:

  • Starting a schools ministry - teaching in the local schools.
  • Opening a mission center( a place where we will receive long and short term mission teams to serve the community, by teaching English, running English camps, and building relationships with the people
  • Planning a 6 month discipleship program for the future (YWAM Discipleship Training School or DTS). Once we are established in the community we plan to broaden our focus to reach the other areas in our vision

Meet The Leaders

Noiy & Bronwyn Noiy and Bronwyn Prommathat have been living in Ratchaburi since September 2005. God has been speaking to them both about His heart for Ratchaburi for many years, even before they met.

Noiy grew up in Ratchaburi and although he lived in Bangkok for about 12 years, he still considers Ratchaburi his home.

They both believe that God has led them back to minister not only to the community, but also to Noiy’s family.
