Pray for YWAM Thailand - December 2009
Ways that you can be praying for YWAM Thailand and Thailand this month
December Outreaches in Thailand
Pray for "fruit that remains" (John 15:1-6)
December is a great time for the reminder that God is a giving God (John 3:16) and people generally are quite open to generosity. The weather is usually great so outreaches are usually a much happier affair. Thais love to celebrate and the Christmas season is a great time for it. Carols are being sung at many venues and wouldn't it be great if many Thais knew the true meaning of these precious songs and responded to it. Let us pray for and expect awakening in Thailand among ordinary Thais as well as revival in the Thai church. Amen?
Fathers Day
Dec 5th, Fathers Day, is also the birthday of the King of Thailand: This is a very special day in the hearts of every Thai because they love their King. Let us agree in prayer that more Thais will desire to know and meet their heavenly Father who has sent His only Son to die for the sins of us all.
Constitution Day is Dec 10th
Great debates have raged for 3 years now regarding the flawed 2006 constitution and it seems confusion about what to do now is the norm. The military junta that overthrew Thaksin set up a new constitution that many are crying for it to be replaced with the older one made in 1997. Pray for God's vision and solution to be manifested through the gridlock and many vested interests. God is God of the impossible so let's pray for this especially difficult area with great faith that God's COMING KINGDOM makes peace possible.
Ten years of Harvest
Thank the Lord of the Harvest! Pray that God continues to equip and prepare the Thai Church for the great harvest of souls coming in the next ten years, as prophesied by Cindy Jacobs and Chuck Pierce. Let it rain Lord! And pray that the hundreds of outreach teams that come to Thailand yearly would be ready to help in the harvest in the most practical ways.
CHRISTmas Day-December 25 and New Years' Eve-New Years: ONLY THE LONELY
Christmas in Thailand is like a normal day for most people with everyone just going to work, and there is no Christmas Eve to speak of. It can be a very lonely time for missionaries and expats away from family and those previous feel-good memories. Worldwide these 2 holiday periods have the highest rate of suicide. Please do remember these people in your prayers. Especially pray for those in the sex tourism industry, which at this time would be seeking to meet the demand by bringing in all the supposed (false) comforts they advertise. Remember these lonely and desperate people and those who work among them in your prayers.
As always, invite and allow the Holy Spirit to guide your prayer times. He is the Spirit of Truth, and Jesus promised He would guide us into all Truth. We would appreciate it if you would keep a record of your intercession times, and share a copy with us. Thank you for the part you are playing in making God's Kingdom known.
