2008 Update - The Year of New Beginnings
 “What
an awesome God we serve” is a song sung by many all around
the world. We sing it, but, do we sing it from the bottom of our
heart and soul? Do we really believe it?
God is truly moving, not just at Tamar, but throughout the land
of Thailand. He is displaying is awesome love for the Thai people
with signs and wonders. They are experiencing his awesome power
in salvations, healings and miracles. This power is being displayed
from the North of Thailand to the South of Thailand.
When Tamar moved into the purchase of this new building (see right),
we knew that God was in it and that He would bless it. We also
felt that raising the funds to meet our obligation for the balance
was something we should get to work on and pursue with all our
efforts to do our part. However, we also felt that God was going
to do something major and show how “awesome” He is
in the working of the purchase of this building. When you expect
in full anticipation of what He is going to do……….He
is going to deliver!! ”
Are you ready? God brought someone, that has
always had a heart for and been a supporter of this ministry,
back to Pattaya to look at this new building. They were so amazed
to see how God was blessing us and they knew that God wanted them
to be a part of acquiring this property. They came and shared
their hearts with the staff and told us they were going away to
pray about exactly what God wanted them to give financially. In
less then an hour…they announced they would match up to…
US$200,000 - “What
an awesome God we serve”!
 To
say that we are excited would be an understatement!! What an incredible
thing for the women of Tamar and the Christian community of Thai
believers to experience. That being said…..now we have our
work ahead of us to do our part.

from May through Mid-July speaking at churches and organizations

In the new building and almost settled...almost!! It hasn’t
been without some glitches and tests. However, it is that same
awesome God that gets us through those times too. Some of us found
ourselves walking around and muttering….”it is only
a test, it is only a test”. For some, prayer time was increased,
for others, more prayer was requested!! Do you get the picture?
In the midst of it all…….our God was there for us!!
We love our new home!!
And there is more – At the present time we have
11 new ladies for the training that will start the end of April.
We are so happy for these 11 and asking God to send more, as He
speaks to them through English class or our visits to the bars
to develop relationship.
Please pray for the ladies, the staff and the guest speakers that
will be taking part in this 3 months of training. We will be sure
to provide pictures of these ladies from the opening ceremonies
in the next update. Thanks so much for your continued support
of this ministry. We are privileged and blessed to be called by
Him to serve. It is with grateful hearts that we walk out this
service in His name.
