“On The Go” Concert in Chiang Mai
The night was the return of “An Honest Mistake” from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and there was much excitement building up for “On The Go” concert. The band had left a great impression with their highly passionate and enthusiastic show last year and with keeping in touch with people here in Chiang Mai via facebook, etc. So there was a packed house at WonGen Kafe.
Also, featured for the night was “Chaba” from Chiang Mai. They are a four piece female pop/rock band and have built a good following in Thailand. Since they last played at WonGen Kafe, they have recorded an EP and were also featured on Thailand MTV.
“An Honest Mistake” took the stage and started the set with an Irish sounding instrumental. This time around, the band included a violin player. The crowd immediately responded and started dancing and jumping. The bass player, Leonard, introduced one of the songs with a real story of a friend of his who committed suicide. The song was followed by Darren, the lead singer, who spoke of the hope and life and forgiveness that is found in Jesus, no matter what the situation. This was a special opportunity for the band since in their home country sharing the Gospel is not allowed in an open concert outside of a Church.
This event was organized by Circuit Ryder Rock.
