Pray for Families
Pray for a strengthening amongst families throughout Thailand. Pray for families to be able to stay together. Due to poverty, and other reasons, many children are forced to move away from their parents, to live with relatives or other people. There are more extreme cases, but this is the more common situation. Pray for these families, that they will be able to be brought back together, and that other families won't have to be broken up in the first place. Pray for an alleviation on the stresses and pressures that force a parents hand. That they will be able to earn enough to raise their children, whilst also have plenty of time to spend together as a family to be parents for their children.
Rebuilding Communities Ravaged by Floods
Late last year many communities in different regions of Thailand were devastated by flooding. Pray that as the rebuilding continues, people will find the true rock to build their lives on. As houses and communities are rebuilt, and people recover from the loss of crops and livestock, pray that they will not lose hope, and ultimately find salvation in their one eternal hope. Pray for churches, that even now once the news and coverage of the floods has gone quiet, they will continue to reach out, help and love people throughout their communities in their times of need.
Pray for Thai Media & Entertainment
Pray for a revival amongst the Thai media and entertainment industries. Recent years has seen dramatic movement away from the very conservative values expressed on TV and in the movies, heading towards a lot more open and so called 'western' influence. While this can have some good results, it is also seeing a rapid increase in the amount of immoral and sinful behavior portrayed lightly and shown on TV and in movies. Film and television in Thailand is one of the largest influences in shaping the values and attitudes of the youth of Thailand. Pray for the direction of these industries to change for the better. Also pray for Christians that are working in the film and television industries, that their positive influence will grow and expand.
