YWAM Korat Ministries

Korat, also known as Nakhon Ratchasima, is often referred to as “the gateway to Isaan”. YWAM Korat is strategically located close to several universities and colleges in Nakhon Ratchasima. Our main ministry focus at this time is campus ministry.

Apart from meeting together weekly for worship and fellowship, we reach out to the students through running various classes. The aims of these classes are 3-fold: to bless the students, to build into their lives, and to share the love of God. Currently we teach Tae Kwon Do three times a week and English twice a week. The Tae Kwon Do classes have been so popular that we have too many students for our small building. We are praying for a new location, so that students will no longer be punching the walls and bumping into each other whilst practicing.

University students are at a crucial time of their life. The decisions they make now will affect the rest of their life. During this time they are experimenting, trying new things. They want to be free, but they are also searching for direction. We know that God longs to give them true freedom, and the plans that He has for them are great. We praise God that already a few of the students have opened up their hearts to Jesus. Please pray for them as they face many challenges as new believers, and pray for those that are still seeking.

Additionally we are excited about what God has been doing in our own lives and families as we serve in Korat. Not only has God added to our number through blessing us with children, but God has also led two members of our local staff’s family to Him. We are blessed to now have a Tamar Korat  here in Korat too. We believe this is just the beginning of what God is doing here in Korat.

If you have a heart to serve in any capacity, if you have a heart to use the giftings that God has given you to bless the students in Korat, please feel free to contact us.
