What Is FMS?
The Family Ministry School is designed to help families experience Biblical family life by nurturing both parents and children in a Christ-like lifestyle, strengthening them in their identity and destiny. Another purpose of this school is to evangelize, restore family life by bringing healing to broken individuals and families, to strengthen family life, to train families, to challenge families and to mobilize families - Isaiah 58:12.
Why FMS?
We believe that to have a strong family and good relationships, we need to have a good foundation. Many of us don’t want to see our families falling apart or breaking away, so we want to help to build up strong families.
Where and When?
The Family Ministry School will begin on the 4th of November 2009 in Khonkaen, Thailand.
Lecture Phase Begins November 4, 2009
Midterm Field Assignment December 21-25, 2009
Lecture Phase Ends February 5, 2010
Early Field Assignment Begins February 8, 2010
Early Field Assignment Ends March 26, 2010
Late Field Assignment Begins February 22, 2010
Late Field Assignment Ends April 9, 2010
Our Family
We feel so happy and excited that God has given us the privilege to serve Him. We confess that we don’t have knowledge or ability without Him, but want to thank God for using us and for giving us the opportunity to serve Him.
Our family has been serving with YWAM Khonkaen since 1999. We were with UDTS ( University Discipleship Training School) and DTS ( Discipleship Training School), and we were so encouraged and learned so many things through these two schools.
In 2005, our family did a FMS (Family Ministry School) in Baguio, Phillipines. While doing the FMS we felt that it was the right time and suitable for our family to do this school. While doing this school we come to know and learn so many things such as: husband and wife relationship, parents and children relationship and family as a whole. Indeed this school was really a blessing for our family.
Towards the end of this school we felt that this school is very useful for families and started to pray about starting this school in Thailand.
In 2008, when we were praying God spoke to us to be a staff in Baguio, Phillipines. We can clearly see the will of God and strongly felt that God really wants us to start FMS in Thailand.
