Is your location interested in hosting outreach teams?
Yes, we are very interested.
2. What
time of the year is best for hosting teams?
All year is convenient, excluding the month of our YWAM Thailand
annual conference (August). One team per month would be great.
3. What
would be the best size of team? Maximum size number?
Any size team up to15 people is good. In the future we plan to add
more team housing at which time we'll be able to take up to 25 people.
4. What
kinds of ministry can a team expect to be involved at your location?
Some team members can help with responsibilities of raising our
goats
Help our team build relationships with villagers by helping with
their farming work.
Opportunity for relationship evangelism through teaching English
at the local elementary school.
Encourage new believers in our village
Prayer and intercession.
Visit a nearby Karen hill-tribe church on the Burmese border.
5. Is there
any other info we need to know?
Our village is still pretty undeveloped - it has electricity
(since December 2002) and running water, but has only gravel roads.
Because of surrounding mountains mobile phones signals don't reach
our village, but there is one public satellite phone at the local
school. We go to a nearby town once per week for E-mail and phone
calls.
