 Opened
originally as a home for young girls forced into prostitution, House
of Refuge now has 3 homes that provide healing and hope for young
girls aged 12-18 years of age who have been in prostitution or who
have been sexually abused. In a caring, loving environment, they are
able to receive both physical and emotional healing that is necessary
for them to recover and continue with their education or learn a profession.
Our newest home (house #3 for younger girls) is called "Baan
Shalom” which means "House of Peace". Now the empty
house is transforming into a real home and we can see faces of kids
laughing and playing in it. On July 1, we received our newest Thai
staff also, Khun Phae who is now leading this home.
We feel that it is also important to have our girls surrounded by
the love of God, and most come to know Him before long.
The goal of our ministry is that our teenagers will be able to live
in a right relationship with their Creator, their families, and that
they will be able to become an important and productive member of
Thai society.
