WonGeneration
is providing a place where students can get together in the afternoons
and evenings for movies, English and Thai conversation, board games,
video games, concerts, cultural exchange, and small groups.
Our goal through these activities is meaningful friendships with
the students in order to connect them with the truth and love of
Christ, challenge them in their faith, and see them discipled.
Chiang
Mai University (CMU) is one of the top five universities of Thailand.
With over 20,000 students, its sprawling campus covers a large section
of the west side of the city. We know that reaching this school
and many other local colleges is key to shaping the future of this
nation since many of the up-and-coming leaders are being educated
there.
We see the potential to shape the future of the nation through these
students. These future doctors, lawyers, engineers, politicians,
mothers, and fathers will soon be making decisions that affect this
country for generations. They will either make those decisions based
on the relative and passive beliefs of Buddhism because 95% of Thais
live their lives this way, or they will make those choices based
on the absolute truth of the Word of God. By establishing a place
to experience life, culture, fun and, faith, we will see young people's
lives changed through personal relationships with their Creator.
Special
Project
This
is a key time for WonGeneration as a developing ministry. After
three years of searching we have found the ideal location for us
to best serve the Thai university students. We have a verbal agreement
to rent a double-wide 3 1/2 story storefront starting in March for
30% less than normal price. We prayed and believe we are to move
on this opportunity in faith. We have to have the deposit ready
and sign the three year contract by the end of March. We cannot
stress enough how ideal of a location this is. It is directly across
from the main university gate. Every time a student leaves they
will be looking directly at our building! In short, many more students
will be able come and hear the gospel. Honestly, this opportunity
has come earlier than expected. We need your prayers! We need your
help!

Special Project
Update
- Grand Opening
We recently had the grand opening of WonGen! We had prizes, ping pong,
break dancing and lots of fun!
Check out the pictures below so you can see what YOU helped
make possible!We
had a short-term team here helping at WonGen for 4 weeks in July.
They went on campus every day for lunch, meeting students and inviting
them to our activities we run 3 times a week. They also were teaching
bible & discipleship topics to some of the new believers.
Please continue to pray for the youth of this nation and for WonGeneration.
