Our GangA baby can’t fight. It’s supposed to have a mother and a father, a family that will protect it, care for it, love and fight for it. But what if that little baby has no family?

To the Thai government, he’s another statistic. One of thousands of children orphaned or abandoned each year in Thailand. As an unwanted baby he could end up in a garbage can, abandoned in the hospital nursery or given over to a desperately overcrowded government orphanage.

Home of Joy in Chiang Mai reaches out loving arms to accept orphaned and abandoned babies. They work hand in hand with the Thai government Social Welfare Office as well as with other organizations and foundations. All of them know that the orphan situation in Thailand is getting worse. Way back in the year 2000, Thailand already had 150,000 orphans due to Aids alone! Drugs, promiscuity, family breakdown. all are increasing in Thailand, and with it, the amount of helpless infants with no place to call home.

House of JoyBabies coming into Home of Joy, come into a family for life. Home of Joy promises to care for them till adulthood, just as a normal family would. Now that’s a reason for joy!

Currently, we have one home in Chiang Mai, the second largest city in Thailand. We will seek the services of local Thai staff people to staff the home on a long term basis and will accept volunteers from overseas on a long or short term basis.

We currently have 8 children with us. We have also recently added one new staff member. We are thankful for how God is blessing the Home of Joy! Please pray for a smooth transition for our new staff and children.

We need volunteers who are interested in staying at least 6 months or longer, to hug and play with kids or do maintenance and yard work. We need clothes, diapers or financial donations toward the purchase of these things..

We are also in need of:

  • beds and mattresses for 4 children
  • a water filter
  • monthly financial supporters for Home of Joy
  • monthly staff support ($125 US/month for 3 staff)
  • a permanent home
  • prayer partners

Send financial support for Home of Joy to:

and tell them what your gift is for.)

Thank you for being a special part of our lives. When we see our children smile and hear their laughter, we thank God for you and all that you've done to give our children a place they can call home.

If you have a love for children and a desire to work in urban missions,
please contact us to see how you can get involved!
